The music that is used in these styles of dance can vary. While traditional forms of music are used in other styles of performance the styles of music that are used in ballroom dances there are some other forms of music that can be used. Traditional Latin music can be used in ballroom Latin dancing. Popular music from the modern era can also be used. This includes other forms of music that use straight rhythms like swing, big band music or even contemporary rock music.
